NEBRASKA:
The flood waters claimed a drowning victim near Valley.
He was Victor S. Sorensen, Omaha, whose truck apparently tipped into the water at the first intersection west of Valley on Highway 275.
Acting Douglas County Coroner George Sullivan said Mr. Sorensen apparently was approaching Valley when the accident occurred.
He said Mr. Sorensen apparently got out of his truck and was washed under a slab of pavement where his body was found.
Mr. Sullivan said Mr. Sorensen was driving a Union Pacific Railroad truck. He was reported to be carrying blankets to flood victims in Valley.
