OMAHA - Norman N. Sorensen, 73, died May 20 1991, at an Omaha hospital. Mr. Sorensen had been employed as a supervisor for the Union Pacific Railroad and was a former North Platte resident.
He was born Nov. 4, 1917, at Boelus to Lawrence and Dora Petersen Sorensen. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was married to Irene Casaday.
Survivors include his wife, Irene of Omaha; a stepson and wife, George and Dolores Lapel of Chula Vista, Calif.; a sister, Laura Brodecker of Marysville, Kan.; a brother, Ed of Sweet Home, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Roeder Mortuary with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the Shrine Transportation Fund or St. Paul Methodist Church.
Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th St., Omaha, is in charge of arrangements.
