I (Bill Christensen Great Grandson of Johan Nicolaj Christensen) found her biological father, Valdemar Poulsen or Povlsen [the way of spelling the surname may differ from parish register and census registration] in the 1911 census at Berritsgaard - an estate on the island of Lolland near Saxkøbing.
He was the manager of that estate, and from the column Fødested [birthplace] appeared that he was born in Thisted Amt [the county of Thisted] and had moved to Berritsgaard in 1910 from Zealand - perhaps he had been at the same estate Sparresholm as Esther's mother.
Valdemar should have died in a work-related accident on the estate he was managing when Esther was 2-3 years(1913-1914)
