Betty Lou Bang [49777]

Betty enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, dancing and visiting the casinos. She also loved traveling the countryside. Her greatest accomplishment though was that she was a wonderful mother who gave whatever she could of her time and support to her children.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Lucille; her husband of nearly 50 years, John Pohl; her brother, George, and her brother, William. She was also preceded in death by her special friend, Robert Johnson.

Betty met her childhood sweetheart, John Pohl, in Omaha at the age of 14. They married in San Diego, CA on March 17, 1949 and from this union six children were born; Michael (Cyndee) Pohl of Hebron, NE; Linda (Stephen) Poppe of Spring, TX; Nancy (Craig) Burke of Loveland, CO; David (Cindy) Pohl of McCook, NE; Dale Pohl of Denver, CO; and Kathy Hutchins of Culbertson, NE. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren. Her daughter in all but blood, Vicki (Ray) Buffington of Imperial, NE, also survives her.
