brother James. He held her until they arrived in Salt Lake City, pretending she was asleep and sick. "He couldn't bear to have anyone else taken from him" and to have her buried enroute in what would have been an unknown . grave. James and Dusine were met by their uncles and aunt (Peder Boesen and Rasmus and Bodil Boesen Christoffersen) when they arrived in Salt Lake City, but it was illegal for them to bring the tiny body to Ogden because the disease which killed her might have been spread further; therefore she was buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. She probably died of typhoid as did her mother and siblings.
