Martha Petersen, 85, Dannebrog, died Friday at a St. Paul care home.
Services were held Monday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church at Dannebrog with the Rev. Irvin Briese officiating. Burial was in the Loup Fork Cemetery near Boelus.
Mr. Petersen was born April 2, 1898, in Fremont, the daughter of Peter and Christina Rasmussen Cristoffersen. She received her education at Fremont and grew to womanhood there.
On January 6, 1926, she married Jens Petersen at Fremont. The couple farmed in the Dry Creek area near Dannebrog until their retirement. Mr. Petersen died in April.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Dannebrog and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Albert of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Edna Jacobsen of Fremont' one brother, Martin of Sidney; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers
